“It’s not racist, it’s just prejudice”

No you see, it’s not murder, it’s homicide.

It’s not theft, it’s robbery.

It’s not kidnapping, it’s abduction.

See what I’m getting at black tumblr? Changing the name of something doesn’t make it better.

@whatwhiteswillneverknow

This is getting ridiculous… and ironic. Mostly because you’re using lawful words.

See… “murder” describes the killing of one human being to another. Homicide describes the “murder”, but in full context. Homicide can actually be… lawful and state-sanctioned. If anything, “homicide” gives people more freedom than murder.

As much as I want to sit down and split hairs with you about word differences, this is kinda sad. ALSO @bransrath , you seem to like to tag me EXCESSIVELY so let’s take care of this once and for all.

Here’s a chart that I drew a few years back. I don’t like the fact that I was using red, but let’s avoid that because I’m tried and I got ish to do. I’m also going to explain the whole chart for context reasons.

  • Level 1 – Internalized Racism – racism that you can’t see within yourself. This also means you can hate yourself. For example, you realizing that White people gets attention and you secretly wish you were White for whatever reason.
  • Level 2 – Interpersonal Racism – It’s internalized racism, but speaking out loud (or worse, acting out). This is also the most common type that people talk about. When celebrities get called out, for example.
  • Level 3 – Institutionalized Racism – This occurs within institutions and systems of power. For example… Blacks are thought of as criminals, hence when you mixed it with power, they tend to get harsher sentences.
  • Level 4 – Structural Racism – This occurs among Institutions and society. Examples: The on-going Drug War, real estate redlining and blockbusting, generification.

Now… people, no matter the color, CAN be racist to one another. However, it can only happen within the circle thought.

So, it’s possible for Black people to be racist to White people in an individual level. Yes, you actually read that right.

So why are we saying “racist vs. prejudice” tho?

Because we’re trying to get to the DAMN SQUARES!

You’re so busy focusing on your personal feelings being hurt and so on that you’re willing to cancel out the big ass square?

I understand… there are Black people who said stupid things about other races. But that’s all they can do. Talk. Even if they go around executing White people, they will get caught, they will be jailed or put to death rather quickly. Justice will BE done. It’s going to work in your favor. Those racists will not survive for long.

But when we (the reasonable people) talk about racism, most of the time, we’re talking about the squares. The majority of the times, tho… y’all want to “whitewash” racism. Y’all simply want to do that so that everything is “equal”.

It’s not “equal”. It never was “equal”. Sure, it’s downright ugly at times when I see some of these hateful thoughts being spewed to you. But if you’re still alive and breathing, then guess what? All you’re suffering from is prejudice.

I understand you guys want to talk about “murder” and all that. But even cops can commit homicide, right? And what y’all do? Explain why unarmed Black people deserves it.

So… are we done here? I got work to go to.

OP deactivated their account and the person who tagged me is speechless and don’t want to reblog this.

*sighs* wusses.

Also you can’t blame black people for being prejudice. We have a valid reason to be angry at whites as a whole. There is history behind it. White people however seem to be prejudice and racist towards most non whites simply because they aren’t white. Whites have a history of betrayal, genocide, rape and theft. So while a whites may have a beef with a black person or group of black people being for being mean they don’t a history of oppression from black people.
