tbh don’t even joke about Texas not deserving any help bc they are a red state. yeah, it is a red state. nevermind its black population. never mind its large latinx population. nevermind its native population. nevermind its asian population. nevermind its muslim population. nevermind its jewish population. nevermind its drug addicted population. nevermind its children. nevermind its LGBTQIA+ population. nevermind its mentally ill population. just nevermind, right? Texas is an extremely diverse state, but its represented as, seen as, one party. when you refuse to help “such a conservative” state, it means you also refuse to help all the groups listed before and many more. not helping because its “such a conservative state” erases their existence, their needs and issues. just like the people you are so disgusted with you won’t donate a single dollar to making sure they don’t drown in sewage, snake, broken glass, and bacteria infested waters
