I’m so excited to officially announce “The Answer” children’s book!

Cover art by Elle Michalka!

I was so glad to get a chance to adapt this story into such a timeless format, and to work with two of my absolute favorite artists, original Crewniverse members Elle Michalka and Tiffany Ford!

I’m so in love with how this book came out, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it! It’s the classic story of how Ruby and Sapphire fell in love, but told in an entirely new way.

Please check it out soon! Thank you so much!

At the Discovery World in Milwaukee there is a black stingray. Why is it black you ask?
Because the poor little one is blind. All of the other stingrays in it’s tank camouflage with the light colored substrate, but because all it sees is black, it camouflages as that color.

Update: as @why-animals-do-the-thing said, it is either black because it is blind or there is some sort of mellanistic mutation that cases blindness 🙂

OH NOOOO IT THINKS IT’S CAMOUFLAGING SO WELL BUT ITS FUCKING NOT AND HES JUST BLIND WHAT A PRECIOUS PANCAKE

I’m sad to say that I am in no position to keep these puppies. With my dad really sick and me gone all day, we don’t have a house fit for raising puppies. I normally don’t ask for much but are there any followers who could give a good home to at least of these puppies? One who lives in California?

Omgoodness what kind of puppies?

@awwheartno they are a mix between Cocker Spaniel and a golden Retriever. Already 6 weeks with parvo shots. I really don’t want to give them away but my dads starting dialysis and I’m starting nursing school

Anybody want to help my girl out??

Powerful Women Buried at Stonehenge

archaeologicalnews:

The remains of 14 women believed to be of high status and importance have been found at Stonehenge, the iconic prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England.

The discovery, along with other finds, supports the theory that Stonehenge functioned, at least for part of its long history, as a cremation cemetery for leaders and other noteworthy individuals, according to a report published in the latest issue of British Archaeology.

During the recent excavation, more women than men were found buried at Stonehenge, a fact that could change its present image.

“In almost every depiction of Stonehenge by artists and TV re-enactors we see lots of men, a man in charge, and few or no women,” archaeologist Mike Pitts, who is the editor of British Archaeology and the author of the book “Hengeworld,” told Discovery News. Read more.

Mila demanded to try and make a life size BB-8 this morning. She ran around playing the theme song to Star Wars, then we went outside to battle the dark side.

The greatest thing Star Wars has brought to her is her love of robots. She wants to know how they work, how to construct them and if they can love.

Mind you, I’ve never been into Star Wars, still haven’t seen all the originals… Just don’t tell Mila.

GIVE THAT GIRL A LIGHTSABER SHE’S READY!

OH MY GOD

I love how when you can see yourself reflected in characters, it can give you the courage to do the things that they can do.
